Oasis have confirmed that their classic B-side 'Acquiesce' is to be released as a full single later this year.


The track originally appeared on the B-side of 'Some Might Say' in 1995, but quickly became a live favourite and will now be released to coincide with the band's forthcoming greatest hits album.


The song will appear on a four-track EP, which will also include a demo version of 'Cigarettes And Alcohol', a live version of 'Some Might Say' recorded in 1995 and 'The Masterplan' - which was originally the B-side to 'Wonderwall' in 1996.


The EP is available only as a one-off collectors edition CD and double gatefold 7" and will include an exclusive sheet of stickers.


The 'Stop The Clocks EP' will be released on Monday November 13 - a week ahead of the release of the greatest hits collection, also called 'Stop The Clocks'.


The Best Of will feature 18 tracks from throughout the band's career and its running order has been chosen by the band themselves.

they've got to release it so they can put it on the best of apparently.

and they're only releasing the best of so they can get out of their 9 album contract with Sony

Mate was on about this a couple of weeks ago. I can't work out what song it is though, he thought it was masterplan (as first line says a word that sounds like acquiesce).

Am I being thick?

I have got it masterplan on an album, I just want them to release it as a single so I might hear it on the radio on the way to work
