Anyone else having problems with them?
For 2 months they didnt collect my DD, so i contacted them asking if there was a problem, to which they responded that there was, and they would collect £79 from my account this month
I think £79, wtf i have had it 2 months! So i ask why £79, and they can collect on the 29th.
The reply, its £98 and they will collect on the 28th
I respond, wtf, no its not, get your facts right and email a detailled explanation of how much i owe and why.
26th today, they've taken £98 from my bank account causing me to go overdrawn, get charged, and feel very embarrased at the petrol station this morning when my card was declined for payment.
I've called, was on hold for 20 mins then hung up (bearing in mind i have called before, waited 40 minutes and still been queueing) so i've sent them an email (again) and they are taking between 3 and 7 days to reply
What should i do? I called my bank and i can take the money back under the direct debit indemnity, i've cancelled the direct debit as well, emailed and called them with no luck
Help

Pipex seem to be good at everything except for handling payments.
I had random amounts coming out of my account when I was with them befored and I know how hard it is to get hold of them.
I just called them from work so I didnt have to pay for the calls

Took them 3 weeks to respond, then 2 ppl responded saying completely different things
One says i owe £121, one saying i owe £5.
What the fuck, i mean come on what are they employing, carrier monkies?
So i called and held for ages again. So have mailed me a reply
Wonder if it takes another 3 weeks to reply

Wouldnt email them, best bet is to phone them and make sure you get the name of the person in customer services.

I have been charged £35 by my bank for going overdrawn
I've emailed Pipex, with no responce and when they do reply i get contradicting information
I am currently queuing for their customer service/billing enquiries team, which, opened at 08: 00, and i called at about 08: 02 and i've been holding for 15 minutes. I can't hold much longer as i have work i need to do!
Anyone have any advice on where i can go next as this is really becoming a joke. £35 charge from my bank, and it looks like im really going to have trouble getting it back
Im so fucked off about it its unreal

sounds like a nightmare.
If you can't get through to them perhaps send them a nasty letter/e-mail saying you're going to cancel if it doesn't get sorted out straight away.

I'm having the same problem with Orange. They don't take money out of my account and then take out random amounts. I could live with that to a degree but my internet keeps going off now when i reply on it to work and do my studies from home. I'm just finishing off a report now and then going to change ISP.

Ally, write a very polite letter to your bank or call your bank and explain what has happened with them taking money out when they shouldnt etc etc. Explain that you feel its unfair that you should have to pay a £35 charge for going overdrawn and they should refund the charge. I have had similar problems with other direct debits and have always had the bank charge refunded.
Also email Pipex again and tell them your going to go to Watchdog tv program with details of your problems, see what they say.

That's because it's illegal. You can claim up to the last 6 years of charges back.

Strange. I'm not too sure on credit cards, but i know it's illegal for banks to charge.
I spoke to a manager at my local brance, he refused to cancel my charges. I said fairy muff, i will claim back six years worth instead. He hastily gave me my money back.
Still claiming 6 years worth though. I have a copy of the letters if you want them.

Its not that the charges are illegal as such, its more that they are unfairly priced. Just ask them nicely and drop in another banks name, especially if you have a mortgage with your bank.
