My corsa (1.2 16v sxi) runs great, but recent issues means im a tad poor, so i started to use sainsburys cheap unleaded when i had been using optimax/v-power.
I have not long fitted my freebie Green air filter to my car and then i have a little cold air feed to it, the oil is ok and so is the water.
Recently when i start the car (starting the engine from cold, when the car has warmed up it is fine ) it starts and then chugs and chugs and then the revs dip really low and it struggles to keep going, sometimes it even cuts out again.
Once it starts the car has been really chuggy and grumbly when its idling and then when driving it the car doesnt really show any signs of real acceleration and just chugs along almost cutting out at some points.
any ideas on what could be wrong with my little car thanks for any help

the fuel filter would have to be very dirty for it to become a problem, and it would get progressively worse, not suddenly be worse to drive...
