Hi folks, help is needed really quickly for this so please so random replys, helpfull ones only
Heres my problem. I got a LET conversion done on my corsa, at the thime i was given a price of £750 to fit everything including driveshafts etc.
No a few problems came abou when there were parts missing and a couple faulty parts.
Everything managed to get sorted fine now the problem came about when they gave me the bill. I had already gave them a deposit of £300 so only had another £450 to pay. But when i went to pay they gave me a bill of nearly £1200.
At first i though, surely i wasnt missing that much! But they then went on to say it was for extra labour, even though there was none it just took a bit longer to do the conversion and also travelling expenses to pick up parts!
I have now been told that i do not have to pay this extra labour or travelling expenses as it was not included in my receipt that i was given, and i actually dont even have to pay for the parts they got it as its there fault i dont have them as they didnt set everything out when i went in to check everything was there.
Also one more thing is, they have told me that if i do not give them the money i will not get my car back. But been told this is actually illegal as it is stealing my car?
If anyone could confirm this it would be great!
Thanks

So they are asking you to pay the original remaining £450 to get your car back?
Whats the problem? Pay them it?
Of course they can hold your car against payment! Assuming payment is legally due
