well, it depends.

if its a double skinned back box, and its only 1 skin, no.

if its blowing, yes.

if the hole is on top, and its not loud, you might get away with it.

as a general rule of thumb- if the exhaust system is blowing, it may fail the MOT

the hole is about the size of a pin hole and when you put your hand over it you can feel the air coming out but you cant really hear it and its on the edge of the box

id of thought it would all depend on the emmissions

if it is a pin-hole, you should be fine
failing that, just patch it up with gun-gum

it may be ok, its down to the exhaust emissions on the screen monitor thats the important part, if its legal its ok, but i would have it changed though because it may get bigger!

Depends. You may be lucky. BUT remember if your car fails the mot now you will have to pay again for the retest. So if he does fail it on the exharst then not only will you have to pay the that but also for the retest... Unless you leave the car at the garage and they do the work

emmissions on my omega were knocked out so it failed due to a tin tiny hole in the exhaust, they ran the test 3 times to try pass it but it failed...

fitted a new exhaust & passed no problem!
