hey ppl,
having a problem with my xe atm. when ever you accelerate gently the ECU light flickers on the dash abd the car hesitates, holds back and jerks about. if you let off while the light is on the light goes off and the car becomes normal again. also if you stab the accelerator to the floor when the light is flickering, the light goes off and it runs fine once again.
it is doing this everytime i drive it now and only started last nite.
does anyone have any ideas or advise please

when the engine management light illumintates, a code is stored. (I think it still does it even if it just flashes but not 100% sure) anyway, you should be able to do the paper clip test and find out what it is.
Maybe throttle position sensor if it only does it on full throttle?

you could take it to a mane deller and have them tec2 the car that will tell you what the problem is. see you soom bud

cant plug it into any diagnosis machines because the plug isnt wired up

If the ECU light flickers on then its a snesor or some sort.
I would try elimnating the airflow meter first as this is always a bain on my valver
|
