i dont under stand, i thought it was the wheel bolts that kept the wheels on and stopcs them from coming off?!?!
the paint on the mating surface can rub and wear away, allowing them to rub more, once they have enough movement in them they will slacken the bolts off and bye bye wheel.
If you dont believe wheel nuts can loosen them selves slacken your wheelnuts a quarter turn then take your car for a blast and check them you will find they are more than a quarter turn loose!

just b careful puttin them on and off the car after i did mine i found the paint to be softer thatn the powdercoat so they can chip and scratch easy dude! but hell man they look sweet nice job!

Just took them to P+B (local tyre firm) and they have run out of small valves, will take em back 2moro! Gutted!
