GF has to take the train once a week now as part of her apprenticeship, and it costs £9.15 a go.

Are there any discount rail fares available through being a student or any of that shit?

£20 for a year. you can use it anytime of the day.

The Young Persons Railcard is the one thats £20. Just take some ID down to the station and sign up for it then and there. You'll make that £20 back in one or two journeys if they're long enough.
