i want to get the front arms off in order to repaint them, as they have gone a bit scabby. before i start it, how are they attached? cheers, chris

pull the cover up at where the arms connect to the motor spindle then undo the nut and wiggle it loose until it comes off!!

as m17tty said, a little tip if you find they are a bit siezed when you wiggle them off get some wd40, little spray and a pair of grips or pliers on the threaded stud and wipper arm and press the grips together will pop off nicely.
