i used to use progain, found it better for me than promax. Anybody wanting to gain bulk, progain is better for them rather than promax...

Those of you who are taking promax, how often do you take it? every day or just when your doing strength training?

upon waking with water
sometimes directly after training depending on when i have my tea
just before bed with milk

my brother drinks his with milk, he said water with them tastes awful

promax is fine with just water. some other brands are not.

he doesnt want to be drinking a lot of milk though, human digestive system doesnt like it, too much lactose.

I only take it at night because the lipids in the milk means the protein is released more slowly.

im kicking it up a knotch soon. going to gym to do weights 4 times a week. and will be ordering Promax.. shit loads of it

I need to get as much Protein in my diet as possible. I wanna get BIGG.
Am still drinkin 3l of water a day anyway (really cleared up my skin)

also as shelly has just stated.. is it best to use with water or milk ?
and just 2 times a day ? or more.

have also got protein bars too. i only eat these when i weight train.

Seth - is it best to take shakes every day ? or just days that i go to gym ???

steve that question depends on what you are putting away. I have a protein shake at night without fail every day, after all growth/repair takes place during your sleep, helps to fuel the process.

Always have it as soon as a wake, seeing as you body has effectively gone through a fast during the night, need to get protein in asap.

unless you can get a meal in quick after training id have one then as well.

lets say an average serving is about 30 grams of protein, even with just 2 a day thats 60g of extra protein your getting in, equivalent to two tins of tuna.

btw you are already huge m8, id look like a skinny peenarse if i stood next to you.

Although im not a mass monster these days, trying to get a happy medium between having a bit of size, shape, and rip.

well normally straight after training i eat a tin of tuna (with a little vinegar) i like eating it
so would my normal tin plus a protein shake at the same time be cool ?? kinda wash down the protein with protein

1st thing isnt a problem either.. do they fill you up much ? Cos i have one hell of an appetite.

so do it every day or just training days ??

its just protein dude, so wont fill you up.

id just go with the tuna after gym, no need for the shake as well, have it a couple of hours later.

take it every day m8, your body is in a constant state of growth/repair when you are training hard.

always happy to answer training questions, I am still constantly learning myself tbh though but guess i am fairly experienced now.

There is no subsitute for educating yourself and doing your own research m8, plenty of good sites out there.

trick with training is finding what diet & training regime suits your body and your goals, this can take years to find the right groove but you will know when you hit it.
