i too dont understand....
Most of the ground up resto's you see are on desireable cars.
A rusty 1.4 R5 is a bit bizzare
All the powerder coating work etc will cost more than the car would prob be worth
still, rust doesnt look to bad. And it is going to be quite expensive to rebuild it. Might have been cheaper to buy the car your tryign to build in the end
its a funny game

the reason for doing it to a 1.4 r5 is to be different and Im going to convert it to a turbo when I can afford the insurance.

And also! Reading the thread again.. He's only 16 and can do alot more than me by looking at what he's done! Well done digit i say! Hes doing what most people do, for example, buying a 1.2 corsa, making the car mint condition then putting an XE in it, except hes doin it with an R5. I like R5's and it will be good to see how it comes out. Keep up the good work!

Doing well considering you're only 16 I would be different though with the colour when its resprayed. Something like ford imperial blue would be different

Jeez u certainly have knowledge I'll give u that!!! Keep it up and keep us posted!
As has been mentioned a few times, go for a different colour - please don't go red again! Go fro something simple yet effective and to be unique, get it off another car manufacturer still
