under load, just when im bringing it upto bite on a hill for instance, mainly in reverse
it seems to shake/vibrate the crap out of the dash 
just wondering what it is?
its not strugling, the engine seems to be fine, idles and holds boost ok

Never had this problem lol. Is your dash loose? loll .. diesels vibrate though. Maybe she hates low revs and wants to be unleased

it may have been stood for a while
it when its on bite only. when the gear is fully engarged its fine
plus its done 138k and has been neglected so, , , ,.
also as you are here,
i think the vacumm pump is leaking oil? is this common? hard to fix?
and there a coolent leak near the front.... but ignore that for now as ive gotta find where

Woww 138K mine still @ 68K. Sorry about the vacuum pump I can't help. Last problem I had was that when I parked it flushed all the water on the floor. It was real pain to find from where and at last I found a leaking rubber elbow which was leading to the heater pipe. It must have burst at 38 celcius .. really hot day.

Tell me .. I cleaned it with a compressor wash this week revealing yellowish 'paint' on the engine top cover. I think the previous owner was a true a**hole and sprayed the engine surroundings with waxoyl without covering the engine.

it probably an engine mount. does the gear stick pull back as you go to pull away. check the gear linkage and engine mounts
