i'm an idiot
decided to fit my spoiler this evening so it could set over night as I need to drive most evening and during the day. all went well until i made a very very stupid mistake by forgetting to hacksaw off parts of the spoiler which resulted in them sticking to gommets in place and then bodywork after i used a bit of force in attempting to get it flush.
non sxi/sri spoiler which was going on me sxi that has 4 holes for bolting on a spoiler.
scraped off a lot of it but left with a fair bit on both the spoiler and car and by the time i can attempt to remove it will of set. non is thicker than 1-2mm but i'm guessing it will be a right bastard to take off. used paint brush cleaner on a very small area that did the job but not sure about using it all over.
any ideas which won't bugger up the paint or take a few weeks of rubbing?
cheers

can't afford to have tailgate and spoiler resprayed till next month so dont want to be taking paint off which is putting me off using thinners.
will a fudge wheel take it off easily then or should only be attempted by a pro?

I know was that pissed off didn't think at the time
spent a good 2 hours tonight and got it all off the spoiler and it looks like new.
is tiger seal silicon based? and would this work - http://www.screwfix.com/app/sfd/cat/pro.jsp;jsessionid=1EYWTPAQXGHYWCSTHZPCFFA?cId=A336165&ts=01636&id=17175
not much left on the tailgate as scraped must off but would rather bond plastic to body rather than over whats left.
