Adam B - look for my pug out on track too, not sure when my session is yet.
But I'm out on silverstone - as is Reedy.
I'm suprised the fastest speed you were touching was 110 mph Daimo.
At Castle Combe I'm well into 5th, hitting 115 mph - approaching 120 mph as I come over the hill down into quarry and hard on the brakes. That's not a particularily long straight.

Im going from memory, tbh, its something around that speed, speedo wasn't working.. It was back in 2003...
Whatever speed, 4th gear, 6200rpm, change into into 5th for about 4-5 seconds.... Someone with a working XE might be able to work that out I was looking at the track, not my dials
Adam - Hangers downhill, but its far far shorter than it looks on tv, your not on it long at all. 10-15 secs, maybe a few seconds more.
Castle coombe, coming from the final chincane all the way round start and finish up to the hairpin (ish) right hander is a lot longer in overall length.
Castle coombe is also the UK's fastest average track. Although snetterton has the actual longest "straight" at 1 mile.
