I have many times, got the trophies to prove!

That's a good price actually, tips are not too be too cocky and patience is the virtue, get to know the kart and track and power out the corners

yeah been a few times now, won quiet a few time aswell my tips are break in a straight line and power down 1/2 round the bend.
Other tips is let everyone fly off in the warm up/qualifying laps so it gives you chance to put in a fast qualifying time without been held up by other karts.
Most of all have fun and enjoy it, if you get a trophy then that’s a bonus

Haha well im the lightest out of everybody thats going so not too bad there. Really looking foward to it now. We all said we would go ages ago but nobody gets round to organising it..so i thought with it being his birthday i will organise it for everyone. Would be funny if i beat them all...highley unlikely but i can hope.

My tip, wrong or not is 'don't take your foot off the accelerator'. They'll tell you to let off the gas when breaking, just ignore that and apply the break with your accelerator still to the floor

1 more thing the karts take ages to get back in the power band if you let the revs drop to much so try feather the accelerator round the bends until you can floor it

Right i will remeber all ...thanks. Ive watched my mum do it before and even though she was never up there with all of them, she actually had some of the fastest laps.

Key to karting is to stay smooth. Brake before corner (if you need to) feather throttle then lash it when your nearly exiting corner. So many people fuck up in corners and lost seconds on each lap.

also getting the right line is vital

take it easy the 1st few laps to figure out the lay out and then let rip

I used to do it, proper tracks too. Not fun fair things. Won my dad many times.

Last time I went, was with a group of lads who were into stock car racing etc. So you can imagine what they were like! I came 2nd but burnt all my arm getting out of the things

Kat next time, just let off the gas and then when you get into the corner put it back on! No need to brake. Go a little wider when you approach a corner makes steering it easier.

then the brakes sieze and most good kart tracks will bend you over for that and make you wait while the kart is getting repaired.

They didn't seize when I was at Three Sisters

It was pissing down with rain, and with those twin engined karts if you let of the gas and applied the brake you just instantly went into 360 spinds, was funny actually

Just get some practice in, don't be scared of them. You'll soon show them girls can be just as good.

I used to go to Heysham karting, but I think it closed down
