Taking the shag piece away for her birthday on Friday to France as a suprise.

Just found out her passport expires on 19th September

Doesn't it need to be valid for 6 months after you get back or something?

This is something i dont understand, yes it does need to be valid for 6 months after the date of travel but you can drive across Europe without showing a passport but across the channel you still have to

i didn't have to show mine on the way there only on the way back so i suppose you'd be alright then as you'd have had your holiday by the time you go back
