i have the V6 284 six-groove discs with 16`s,but i think the caliper needs a bit filed down so it don`t scuff the alloy?

sweet thas good then wasnt sure if the maximun was 310mm so i take it then that the v6/turbo claipers can accomodate an increase in disc size of sum 20-30mm

No... you cant fit the 308 discs to normal v6 calipers!

You need to get the proper calipers

you can get a different bracket for the v6 caliper to allow 308mm discs, as thats the only difference between the 288m and 308mm caliper
