I like some of those accessories, but i'll have to wait until the rooms done before I start buying.

IMO for a loft room, I'd go for white to generate a look of more light + contemporary look with a few choice bits (chrome works well) and possibly a dark wood.

one wall with pattern maybe and other 3 cream / subtle colour with nice pics / prints etc...

There will be lots of light anyway as I have 2 big velux windows

agree... in all the homes I have painted in the past 4 years when a client moves in the house always looks fresh and modern and is a great canvis

down side is keeping it clean but most crown paints are cleanable

I know but lighter walls really do make a big difference and make the room look much bugger. When I bought my house the 3rd bedroom was a kid's room and painted in a horrid light Purple. I've painted two walls white and two in a light grey and the room looks twice the size now
