But you can claim via Paypal and contact ebay because on the listing, it clearly states that delivery is 1 working day

If posted on tuesday, it should be guaranteed delivery by 1pm the next day

Contact ebay on this part, you paid for a service but didn't meet expectations

It clearly states

Sellers are not responsible for delivery time

yes, agree

but when seller states that item will be sent by RMSD and that it was sent on Tuesday, then he needs to explain delivery time in that case

about the weight of the item and being an error in the listing is a late excuse now. He should have notified you before the end of the auction.

So, ask him for some refund esp for the time you haven't been able to play it , ask for a compensation...

Sorry, I really didn't mean that to sound like a smart comment or anything.
I know in this case the seller is in the wrong.
I was just saying that ebay does say seller is not responsible to cover their backs.

OK so anyway does everyone think I'm entitled to a slight refund? Or is it just more hassle than it's worth?

IMO it's more hassle than its worth.

It looks like the guy hasn't realised how much postage would cost him either.
I've made the same mistake before.

Dont see why, he messed up with regards the service but its still gonna cost more than £9 to send via Parcel Force. I would say at least £15
