Second one.

You can also come off the M42 at 7 where the M6 Toll starts, go A452 and join the normal M6.

btw. quicker M5 from west of Oxford. Get on at Cheltenham or Worcester, then A556 to the M56, which takes you to the M60, get on that west.

Its a nightmare driving into Manchester on a match day Robbo. Even the train is a nightmare as you have to get the Tram from OT back to Picadilly, but so does every other fucker We walked it last time, took ages though and the cabs were wanting silly money

According to Autoroute you'll hit the M5/M6 junction at 9.46. Should be OK. What time do you need to be there?

Early as poss but it doesn't really matter!

I'll see what the SatNav says but I think M5 is best way as M40 is very busy with lorries in morning and saves us the toll fee!

Toll is a nicer road but its out of your way if you're already on the 5.
