This is what i do for a job.
A 20 foot conatiner will cost £1500. This is for the whole container, FCL.
If you were to send it by LCL, which is part container, it would be cheaper, but other stuff would be in the container and you could risk damage.
Then, you have import duty and all that crap at the other end.

Not necessarily in a container Jules. That is the normal way to do it but you can use a roll on roll off service.
Wheres it going and it can be loaded at Southampton i take it?
I can do you a price if you want.

I don't work for a shipping line, I work with shipping lines. (if that makes sense)
You will have to pay handling, import duty and also customs clearance. Best bet is to ring and speak to someone.
Here is 3 who i deal with: -
Geo-Logistics
R&H Freight
Concordia
Also, DHL would do it, but their service is shite. They lost 7 of my pallets for a month.

Not forwarding, but I run our import/export department. Bringing goods into the UK, then distribute throughout UK and Europe.
Which forwarders do you work for?
