right iv got a x14xe with a backbox that it creaks and rattles, so im getting a decat + straight through middle box and a 4 branch (already got) and a standard sport backbox, will it be loud? i dont want it to be (already got very loud supermoto

it will be louder, not sure about LOUD.
Also probably a little more raspy

not sure if i like the raspy noise, but if i put a backbox, even a quiet one like a sebring it will then be loud, which i dont want. the problem is the i want a decat, but is rusted to the middlebox (and want to put back on when i sell it) so a straight through pipe is the cheapish option

tbh it also depends on the manufacturers of the exhaust system. They all seem to have their own trademark noise.

with a decat it will pop and burble ( usually aslong as its not going on a 1.2 or something but even then you might get a small amount )

its not a 1.2 8v its a 1.4 16v, with a lightened flywheel, panel filter and powerbox when i get round to fitting it

When my exhaust is hot i get a few pops ( even without a decat ), i think its been overfueling recently tho.

i had nothing but backbox on my c20xe and that didnt actually ever pop bang etc, however was quite raspy top end. Now got full 3 inch system on my LET and strangly enough isnt raspy (probably to do with boost) and pops and bangs ocasionally on over run.
