Holla!
Are Corsa GSi Brakes something to talk about? I've seen some cheapy cheap Red Dot grooved discs and Pads for the Corsa Gsi for just over £50.
If I can pick up calipers cheapy would it be worth doing?

you can probably get EVERYTHING you need for the GTE setup for 50 quid, maybe even new calipers.
standard corsa brakes (all of them) are crap.

Even though GSi brakes are 256mm vented, I think the thickness of them is different to the Astra setup (i.e. Astra = better)?

Yeh there thicker. Ive found the brakes on the 1.6 to fade so quickly and they just warp the discs if you give it some.

Corsa 1.6 Discs are shocking, its not so much the dimensions of the disc, but the caliper itself. its not very strong at all. they are 256x20mm, compared to the more powerful ATE calipers which use a 256x24mm size.
the brakes on my Corsa C SRi are far superior to those on a GSi
