thanks for the replies. dont have a go at dayzee cos he makes sense lol. 'in a perfect world' i should had known that BP didnt take the money out straight away.
il go down tomorrow and be nice to them and explain what has happened and i just hope that they let me off the £30.

I would go back to the BP garage and demand an explanation WHY after ypou pay for something it took 1 month for them to take the funds out your bank. You done the right thing, you had funds there when you paid for item..
How did you pay again? card? chq?

paid with card. i will go down and have a go at them next time there, but not being racist or anything here but its asian owned and well...theyl just tell me where to do one lol and just pretend not to be able to talk english like they usually do 
il have a go at them though cos it isnt fair and its cost me money and has blagged my head for a few weeks now cos i was 100% positive i had enough in my account when buying things

So you paid by switch/solo etc and took 1 month..Thats dodgy as fuck mate i wouldn't go back there. Switch transactions should come out same day or next.
Why would they wait 1 month? I thought it was all computerised anyway and the money automatically came out your account. Didn't think they had to go in and request it...

Mav - By law they have up to 6months to take the money from his account! shocking i know, but thats the time they have, if it was after the 6 months then its up to the bank, to make sure the money doesn't lave his account....
