mate had one yesterday for a courtesy car. was only a 1.2 but it felt very nippy and for such a standard cheap car it handled really well 
do people agree with me here? im not keen on the looks but compared to most new cars, id definately consider the punto over the other hatchbacks 
what would be your choice?

I'd have the Clio on looks.
Not driven either to be able to comment on that side of things.

erm....i dont really know what new ones are out.
