Anybody now much about this>

I know I can order a box of tricks off ebay or wherever for about £200, said bloc claims to plug int tohe comon rail sensor and dynamicaly remap my engine.

This is supposed to give me in the region of 20 BHP and 40NM of torque!! all this whilst increasing my fuel econemy

I just dont believe it next you will be telling me you can by Cadburys Dairy Milk with creeme egg filling!!

oh and the car is a Corsa C SRI CDTI 1.7 100 BHP effort

yes i would aswell jr,but they do work alright if thats what he wanted.mine had been on the golf for 70k and never had a problem

I cant believe thay work that well, wonder if the more expensive ones are any better than the cheaper ones.

problem with remap is the warranty issue apparantley these boxes can be removed with no trace.

Also after having made one car so un ecenomical to use daily im loathed to let anybody do anything to it which i cat eaisly remove.

you can never trace a remapp if it s serial port type etc

I will look into costs and then make them promise i will still be able to drive it to work and back every day without it costing me an arm and a leg more in fuel (60 miles) and with no mobile disco style lighting on the dash!!!

its basically a resistor. the tunning box makes the ECU think there is less fuel going in so increases it. due to the extreme A/F ratio in TDi's you get mroe power. the only thing is that analogue ones are on all the time so more fuel even on partial throttle. its a cheapish way to go.

what are the digital ones like then? I dont want to fuck up the fuel econemy nor do i want to pay £200 for a resistor
