you can catch a common cold anytime of the year, regardless of weather and seasons. its simply a viral infection of the throat and nose.

Why "Warms"? They can be caught all year round, not during the cold season nor during the warm season, so if not called "colds" as they can be caught all year round then no sense in calling them "warms" neither.
