What a day! My first real track experience and I loved it, I went out with the intent of keeping up with the s2s in my group, but not only that but I overtook two and left them trailing, not bad for a standard s1. Was awesome aswell cos we got mixed up amongst other cars such as an evo 10 wrc car and a metro 6r4

Anyhow, the session came to an end and my car decided to cut out and start chucking smoke and oil out in the pit lane. Looks like ive blown a head gasket. Probably down to my low water level prior to going on the track, and not helped by the fact I ran out of petrol

BIG thanks to Paul_J who was a real nice guy and helped out alot where he could, nice to meet you mate.

I thought I had enough fuel, clearly not. I topped up with oil but forgot about water the night before, was going to do a full check before I went on but we were so rushed, after the driver briefing I had to literally run back to my car, jump straight in and go out.

Your right. I wont be forgetting to check my levels again! Hopefully Rob_Lee is going to lend his engine literate hands in replacing the blown gasket.

its safer to just miss the session that to rush out

I know how it feels though...

Corsa that had no fuel pumping
Corsa that had a fuel leak
Pug that had a loose manifold (very hot too... trying to get that sorted in time for warm up session was fun)
