You don't work on your car with that supporting it! You wouldn't work on your car with it just up on the jack would you (I fricking hope not!) - You use that to jack it up and put it on axle stands.
Anyway, when I had tyres fitted a couple of months ago the garage used one of these type of things as they couldn't get a trolley jack under, didn't use exhaust gasses (used the airline for the airtools), raised the car in seconds, then when deflated was only a couple of inches high - very good invention tbh.
