cheers for that abdus, i'd given up on the search tool a long time ago cos it never found what i wanted.
but my brake fluid level looks ok, the brakes are still very sharp (nearly had a mate with a different car run into the back of me cos they are too good lol)
handbrake only needs a few clicks to hold.
do we reckon this is brake fluid then? might go get some in a bit and try.

The brakes will still work as well even if the fluid is low.
Put some fluid in it, and it will sort it.

jeez i'm worried now.
pads are find at the front, and the rears will quite happily lock up lmao. i'll try the brake fluid thing, and if no difference then i'll get brakes checked.
i'm not sure if it is brakes, as this only happens whilst going round right hand corners (like 90 degrees tight, or roundabout quickly)

It's not the brakes, it's your fluid moving in the tank.
When you go round a roundabout, the force is pushing it to one side. Then the sensor thinks it low.

U could also just stop making handbrake turns, and start using the brake pedal before cornering instead!
p.s.: see related threads below

well i did think it was some sort of suggestive handbrake light, telling me to use it lmao
can see where you're coming from on the fluid moving in the tank though, and it only happening in 1 direction

Same here mate - the rear cylinder was leaking and eventually wouldnt stop at all - if topping the fluid up doestn solve it, get it checked out at a garage ASAP - most places will check for free anyway
