I think someone is developing a top mounted air to air and water to air cooler for the subaru.

It works on a charge-cooler principal but utilises air flow over a core as well...

supposed to be a good bit of kit

Nothing wrong with TMIC's on standardish cars but they do have their limits!

Ive got a charge temp monitor in the outlet of the intercooler on mine and you do see the temps creep up when your sat at the lights. A few squirts of the water spray usually sorts it out tho, especially when you start rolling!

now to redesign the car would cave cost more than to pay out compensation claims. so they left the car as it was.

Ford Pinto (Ford America), notorious case.

Horrendously dangerous car.

What a bunch of greedy, scumbag, evil shithouses Ford are.

Also the Buick Riviera Least you weren't worried about whiplash whilst you were flailing around in a puddle of burning fuel

IIRC anything over 340bhp on a TMIC is askign for trouble.

you WILL get massive heatsoak, and you may have a 370bhp scoob with a TMIC but its not going to make that power on a hot day tbh, and after a few runs forget it, heatsoak and bye bye all those horses.

a FMIC will provide more consistent power. my inlet temperatures during this heatwave have shown low 40`s, my old STi 4 with TMIC used to show closer to 60.
