a lad near me has some mk 3 astra gsi brakes for sale. they seem in ok condition. calipers will need a re paint and discs will need a clean. whats a rough price i should pay for these as i havent a clue what they are worth really.

I bought mine for £30 from scrappers.... sold them for £50 thou

rite, offered him 60 before i saw them as he said they were grooved but the grooves have nearly worn out now.

mite offer him 40 - 50 for them

Buy new discs and pads! always better to buy new discs rather than use worn ones

suppose so, was thinking about that with auto vaux. if i buy discs and pads from auto vaux, what will i need to buy off the lad, just the caliper or more. how much is that worth?

Just the calipers, make sure bleed nipples are in tact and the clip that holds the pads in are there too. Offer him £30 for them or as lttle as poss! more money u save better for you.

make sure thay have all the bolts as they are about £7 a bolt from vaux!!!

only pay £30 max for them, as the pads and discs are more or less worthless second hand.
