fastest out of the Type R family in a straight line aernt they?

Also they have LSD iirc unlike the CTR.

If i needed something more sensible but still fun to drive id seriously consider one. suppossed to handle really well for a FWD car.

They suffer with 5th gear synchro problems. Tell your mate if he doesn't already know.

The Import JDM CTR is the quickers Type R! Import CTR comes with 220bhp and LSD like the new integra's, where as UK spec only comes with 200bhp without a LSD. We get screwed over!

Great cars. Pretty much even stevens with the ITR and very marginally quicker than the CTR. Handle really well and really rapid.

NovaGTE had two, one suffered from 5th gear problems though as said above.

If I get low on cash (mortgage nxt year) the CTR is going , and I'll be after a ATR. Not as quick as the CTR, also has no lsd but its a sporty looking family car at the end of the day thats quite affordable. Nice finishing touches like momo steering wheel and more toys than my CTR

ATR has an LSD.
ATR is just as quick as the CTR when moving, and quicker from standstill due to having an LSD.

Everyone knows I have a CTR lol.

2.2 Prelude in a straight line is as quick. Must be a weight issue that makes the ATR that tiny bit slower.

Must have been a sick atr then. I wouldn't describe my car as slow and i'm sure the extra weight of the accord can't make too much difference.

EK9 Civic Type R is faster than the ATR, and ITR and UK CTR for that matter. Not just noise.

Don't think the EK9 Type-R is faster than the ITR. Certainly not round a track. Search for VTEC on google video and there should be some Japanese vids of a race between an EK9 Type-R, an ITR, an NSX Type-R, S2000 and a Prelude Type-S.

Is your ITR a UKDM or JDM ? Any pics? I looked at ITR's before getting my 'lude but they were a bit out of my price range.

JTD ? Diesel right ? It's unlikely your mate is speaking the truth.
