If anyone ever wants my folder from start to finish of the conversion for any reason as the pics of engine etc are quite detailed ie both 1.4 and 2.0 just let me know. The Whole folder is compressed to 40mb so would be a messenger thing was fun looking back on it doing this project Beardy

Did you strip the cav engine out just to us to get a vaux exchange unit???

i was going to use the cav engine but something went wrong with the block so i was not willing to use it, bought an engine from London which is the one you see (450 bucks) had a few problems but were sorted . Cav supplied an income sold everything that i did not need for the conversion

When you had your x14xe how the fook did you keep your white plastic rocker clean?

Broster painted mine white and i ended up with a bulid up of grime in days that i couldnt shift!

Used to clean my engine cover everytime i cleaned my car which was quite a lot
