Started off at silly o'clock this morning, we had a chat about this, and the idea of fixing it

And yes thats a roof mounted bumper

Had a horrible trip down there, in poring rain, thinking it was goign to be shit
Met SVM's associate from DredNaught Motorsport, Jim now feels the need to make his ZT like this (Top bloke BTW, and very helpfull etc)

Saw some cars

one of my favorite cars there

We also spent around 1 hour 15 mins on the PPC stand, Met Will, Kevin and charlie from the Mag, who were top top blokes, had a very intresting chat with Will about my car
Also Charlie had the 27litre SD1 running, and OMFG , Mans also a ledgend, spemt 19 years building it, told u anything we wanted to know, also had a chat about his garage roof top bloke
Also PPC had made a tap which was feeding from 2 barrells of Home made beer on the stand, Genius

And PPC'S track car

Oh, and best car ti run up the hill entertainent wise, the Goodwood Matinance LWB transit, that crossed the line at 92MPH, and was 4 secs slower than a BTCC primera,
It had a cossie YB as well

Is a good visual representation of the day.
Goodwood is the best day of any year, and is like a form of heaven on earth for anyone with a penchant for cars, horsepower, motorsport, history and heritage.
There is NOTHING else like it in the world.
Was realy pesimistic about it this morning as the weather was awful and we only had the rough map and took it a little bit literally and spent more time on the road than we needed to.
Got there, weather cleared, made excellent use of the time we had and had a completely top day.
My highlights are as Jim's.
The pristine red bumperless 1971 Spa winning V8 was a standout moment on the Mercedes stand. I loved it so much I spent 35 quid on a tiny limited edition replica of it.
The LWB Cosworth powered Transit was hysterical to watch and the most dramatic thing I saw go up the hill all day. It even picked a front wheel up accelerating out of the first bend.
The PPC Magazine stand was brilliant.
Their Rolls is such a grin.
The beer from their local (they brought two barrels and a proper draught tap ) was lovely.
The Tee Shirts we got for the bargain price of a fiver are the ultimate sartorial statement any gent can make this summer, and they even threw in a free copy of this month's mag.
And to top it all, their 700 horsepower, 1550 lb ft SD1 is possibly the greatest car I have ever clapped eyes on.
They were starting it every hour, on the hour. Jim and I were nearby when it fired up, and it sounded like God waking up in a good mood.
I literally ran headlong at the stand with my camera aloft and was almost sick and thrown back by the heat, smell and pressure of the exhaust gases approximately 6 foot away from the car before i'd even reached it.
What a car.
What a day.

Christ!
No wonder it was quick.
Any clue as to it's origins, or how it came about Loo?
We just saw it the once with no warning and no explanation and nearly wet ourselves laughing at it.

T shirt is class, very true defo bargain.....
awesome cars, might venture up there myself next yr, dont see many cars as awesome as that at the mainstream shows trax donny etc.....bet there wasnt that many chavs ondering about either??which would also be a bonus...

Chav count... Zero Mr Brody.
Deffo go if you can. I'm sure you'll love it.
Rally stage is enourmous too.
My only regrets are missing the Concourse d'elegance, and not seeing more cars go up the hill, especially the V16 BRM if it ran (not sure if it did but it was in the paddock).
