Is there such a thing? My 2.0 Corsa is due to be finished in the next few months. It really needs to be insured because of the value of it. However, most insurance companies expect you to drive the car and charge you accordingly...
I know you can get policies for motorcycles which are 'Pay as you Drive' and when you are not using the bike and it is in storage (i.e. over the winter) you pay a minimal ammount of money for Fire and Theft insurance. I was wondering if this kind of thing was available for cars, as I'm not going to be driving the car very often at all... Will probably come out 2 or 3 times a month over the summer at most and over the winter it will be stored away having more mods done

Limited mileage?
Agreed Valuation Fee's?
HIC will do both and cover all your modifications, never heard of a show car insurance as you described though ed

I know about agreed value and will be doing that, however, I have spoken to a few people about limited milage and they don't really want to know. I could risk speaking to those twats at Adrian Flux, however I'm reluctent to do so.

Think I might change the docs to say my dad is the registered keeper as it costs him about £5/year to get insured on the thing then I'm covered with my DOC policy from my car... Not ideal, but it might have to be done. Damn me for taking an interest in something and using my skills to create something with my fair hands.
