i know there is some on this site, in performance stats, but what the bhp of the diesel versions? Mk4 shape?

Parkers is way off for loads of cars. Wish there was a decent database around. Evo.co.uk's used to be pretty good but they have removed it now

Cant be that far off with golf diesels though, theres 100, 110, 115, 130 and 150 which is the gt tdi and i think even the 90 brake version from the previous mark might have been used at the start of the mark 4s run.

my mate keeps saying something about a diesel having more bhp than the v5 or something along those lines

V5 is either 150ps or 170ps depending on year. Diesels offically have 150ps for the top one, these have been known to see 170ps on rr's ( ) though
