Been having a discussion with my cousin about this......
She believes that our lives are all mapped out for us from the moment we're concieved and that no matter what decisions we make along the way, whats planned for us wont go past us.
I believe our future is down to our own personal decisions along the way and that if we take reasonable care and make sensible decisions, then we should have a fairly good standard of life infront of us ?
She lost her brother in a drowning accident 5 weeks ago, and is struggling to cope, questioning why he died in such tragic circumstances. She believes his life was planned to end like this. Me personally believe he was in the wrong place at the wrong time, and took a risk that cost him his life - it wasn't planned out for him, he sadly made a wrong decision
What do you all think............

nothing is pre-determined you make your own future
but if that gives her comfort let her think that she needs to grieve and thats her way

Yes Edd your right, it's her way of trying to make some sort of sense out of what has happened, and help her get through a really bad time.

To quote Adolf Hitler
"the real destiny of Man is something that ordinary men could not conceive of and would be unable to stomach if given a glimpse of it. Our revolution is a final stage in an evolution that will end by abolishing history. My party comrades have no conception of the dreams that haunt my mind or of the grandiose edifice of which the foundations, at least, will have been laid before I die. The world has reached a turning point, and will undergo an upheaval which you uninitiated people cannot understand."

Exactly, I might just decide in 10 seconds time to throw myself out of the window at work and kill myself, I done that because I decided to, not because of God.

God & Fate is for weak minded individuals that need something greater than themselves to give them a purpose IMO.
