was searching for posts on migweb and noticed that these two boys both with c16xe's had removed the gauze from there afm's. was wondering if anyone on here had done it and does it actually give you extra gains?

do you think it'll give any sort of worthwhile gains?

I'd imagine its there for a reason.... i'd think that reason out weighs the potentional minimal if nay gains

I doubt it does anything what so ever....

the gauze hardly limits air flow and its ure last chance to stop large objects being sucked in i'd keep it in tbh...

and have you looked thought an afm...
it's look's very very fragile, personally, i'd rather keep it, just for piece of mind, more than anything

if your real anal about flow especially on turbo engines worth removing it and cutting down the colling fins but no gains unless the whole intake is adjusted to suit. as ste says very easy to break

mines been removed, as for gains, no idea been done the whole time the engine has been in
