hi, im looking to buy an xe or let corsa b, just wondering about the insurance, im 18, 9 months driving, no no claims, a mateof mine pays £2000 on a xe nova gsi, just wondered what you guys pay on your corsas?

at 18 there is absolute no point in insuring an xe/let mate. get at least 1 years ncb (at least!) before thinking about insuring one. the price won't be worth the hassle

i have rang up evey single company i can find but none will insure me at 18 with 1 years ncb on an xe

1400 on a 1.2 is 5 grand on a 2 litre. Leave it a few years.

as said I would leave it a couple of years.

Buy a corsa the now, get it how you want then drop the XE in a few years time.

Buy a 1.2 8v with a good shell, use it for a few years and let your other mates with cars get used to calling it slow and crap..... then BAM! 2.0 XE and 4 times the power! they wont know what hit 'em.
