yeah norammally a thin fillet of steel is tacked on, on the top side and welded underneather then the top weld is ground smooth and filled smooth and then its sealed and painted

wots a fillet of steel?? can u get that in a butchers???
but weld ur new piece of steel in m8. grind down and fill.

cant see any other way of doing it lol can imagine people trying to bog an extended bonnet lol!
On craig8s car there isnt a problem with cooling because of the big arsed bumper but if you use standard bumper and do this you could end up with over heating problems due to no cold air getting in... at the end of the day thats why the grill is there!
