Just spent 13 hours travelling by coach from Toronto to New York (return cost abt 80 pounds, so i guess its not that bad) but anyway know im here, i need stuff to do for like 3-4 days.

So far got planned:
Time Square
Wall Street
The Silly Woman Standing With A Flame
Erm Brookly Bridge

Need more tips/advice on places to go and things do, shopping places would be good too.

Canal Street - the worlds longest "knock-off" street - get your Gucci/Prada/Tag Heuer goods there!

Broadway and central park at night are awesome views. Quick way to see most things is to take the Hudson River Cruise; around the Statue of Liberty and along the bank

take a trip to coney island mate. there is a proper american fair there. takes about 40 mins to get there on the subway! dont get stuck around the housing area at night though. really bad!!!

for night life visit the meat packing district. amazing bars and clubs!!

We did the trip from New york to Niagra (about 1 hour from Toronto) hired a car which was around $140 for the weekend and took 8 hours!! i was in new york for 10 weeks. absolutely amazing place! Visit Buffalo if you get chance too whilst over there. about 1 hour ish from toronto and another great city!!!

Without a doubt the best thing I did was Top of the Rock and Central Park.

Top of the Rock is a wicked elevator ride to the top of the rock, then you get panoramic views of NY, ESB, Cantral Park - everywhere!

Less queues than ESB - I was straight up there in less than 20 mins, open air viewing and you can stay up there as long as you want. Its next door to Radio City on 6th Ave.

highly Recommended.

We went 4 nights - 3.5 days - and did everything on our list and more. We were up at 7am and were in bed by 11pm, but had time for all the sights and shopping.

Left the UK early morning...flight took 8 hours...then landed at Newark airport and it was still AM...
