on way home from work today noticed that my speedo wasnt workin and shortly after my steering became very heavy. when i got home i turned car off then on again and steering was lighter than usual for about 2 mins then became heavy again, speedo still didnt work. Car in question is a W reg 1.0 12v, could it be a sensor/plug and any ideas what i can try ?
cheers

Your Vehicle Speed Sensor will be broken as the Electronic Power Steering requires a speed signal for it to work correctly.
You can get a fault code reading from the ECU and the EPS ECU to confirm this at a Vauxhall garage.
Is an orange light flashing on on the dash at all? That would confirm that the VSS is not outputting any signal...

Can't help you on that one, though if you look on the back of the pannel hiding the fuse box an icon will display what the fuse does - there should be a few spare fuses at the top of the box if they haven't been already used. Replace the blown one anyway...

Could have just gone... They sometimes do that. If it goes again, and again, and again....... then there is a fault in the wiring somewhere. Nothing to worry about at the moment though.
