i need to buy two laptops, was thinking of getting two of these, which have the screen that turns around. looks sweet. i assume they are all running normal versions of XP etc.

I've used the HP ones at work!

IIRC The Tablet Edition of Windows is a bit watered down but includes the touch screen functions etc.

Unless your really going to use the tablet facility i'd get a laptop because they're a bit small and fiddly (tiny keys etc)

We had Compaq tablets. Only kept them 10 months then replaced them with Dell laptops.

Tablet XP is shite. They are fiddly to and not very robust

The handwriting can be a pain in the arse sometimes, it's not as good as the Pocket PC handwriting, but if you've got the time to fiddle around and train it to your handwriting then it's alright.

Windows XP Tablet Edition is the same as XP Pro but with handwriting recognition built in. I have a Tablet PC but it is in laptop form with a keyboard and the screen is just touch sensitive. I never use it as a tablet though, just as a normal laptop.
