has anyone tried the cheaper "air coolers".
not true air conditioning, but you put water and ice in them and they meant to cool the air?
alot cheaper, just wondering if anyone off here got one and been really disappointed?

they are wankign cunting shitting boxes of shite.
bought one a couple of years ago, you put ice pack things in your freezer every night like a gimp. and then they last 5 mins when put in the cooler, they really are gay. might as well just have a fan or get a proper air con unit.
seriously dont bother.

ice isn't too much of a prob as we got a freezer at work
they did sound a little gay tho, having to fill with ice

they are just a fan with ice to cool the air down. Would be much cheaper to stick a bowl of ice under a fan as it will do the same.
If you havent a freezer though you can get ones that make the ice aswell now, just need to fill it up with water ever now and then.

3CM, you have to clean, sanitise them a lot as well. the water will get stale and smelly like an old biddies flange crease.
putting ice in everyday is a headfuck trust me, after a while you just cant be arsed.
spend the extra and get a refrigerant AC unit.
