I think the post 97 bumpers were all colour coded whereas most of the pre 97 were just black plastic (like mine). Also the rear towing eye came with a smooth cover on the post 97's

The towing eye has a cover, and the black pastic part doesnt have the swage line.

I'm glad anyway. Personally I prefer black bumpers over colour coded ones, UNLESS it's on a GSi

thats a non colour coded bumper, the paint has been painted to that bumper after it was fitted? unless it is a GSi bumper?
other than gsi which were full colour coded the pre 97 colour coded bumpers were as the top pic and had two ridges the top smooth one and the slightly lower sharp one which was the join between black plastic and the colour coded part

it was sprayed afterwards as i stated it's a colour coded pre 97 1.2 bumper not GSi, which is identical anyways.
one's after 96 had the bottom half colour coded and top bit black.

almost but not exactly identical. half colour coded pre 97 bumper has a line in where the colour coded bit goes upto, gsi/sri doesnt.

i said colour coded pre 97 is identical to the GSi not the half colour-coded one.
