Information Release
Due to the nature of the quality of driving in england the Department of Transport has devised a new scheme in order to identify poor drivers and give good drivers the opportunity to recognise them and take avoiding action As from the middle of May 2006 Drivers who are found to be driving badly as follows
1-overtaking in dangerous places
2-hovering within one inch of the car in front
3 -stopping sharply
4 -speeding in residential areas
5-being an aggressive driver
6-pulling out without indication
7-performing inappropriate U turns, notably in busy high streets
8-under taking on motorways
9-taking up more than one lane in multi lane roads
All such drivers will be issued with a flag bearing a red cross on a white background, signifying their inability to drive properly. These flags must be clipped to a door of the car and be visible to all other drivers and pedestrians Drivers who have shown particularly poor driving skills will have to display a flag on each side of their vehicle to indicate a greater lack of skill and lower level of intelligence You are asked to circulate this notice, as an act of public duty, to as many people as you can in order that drivers and pedestrians will be aware of the meaning of these flags Department of Transport Information Service
