I dropped the engine and box and stripped off the box and clutch as I was getting nowhere findig the prob. Turns out the friction plate has split, buit whats worse is the flywheel is full of little cracks! I think it must have been slipping at some point in the donor and got really hot.









Now looking for a flat flywheel and a new clutch!

indeed, although by the time you factor in the weight of the cover plate the difference isnt huge
