Early E36 M3 would be a good mix & match for road / track driving imo

no no no... the WRX would get heat stroke from its top mounted IC and go on a meltdown
joking aside though... they are very very evenly matched as standard... 255bhp vs 260bhp... both heavy cars with 4WD
wtf is heat stroke? didnt think cars needed sun cream
yes factor 10 is advised
funny guy!

Calibra wouldnt be a very good track car. As adam pointed out the car you want is almost an impossiblilty (apart from id u have the odd 65k for a CSL)
Calibra's are EXTREMELY heavy, u can get one for the budget. As your road car requirments go get one with a/c and youll be happy. They are very tuneable but IMO more of a cruiser than an out an out sports car like a celica GT4/scooby.
Thats not to say they cant be alot of fun ;

I'll be honest... the mr2 handles shite.... but i was having too high expectations coming from a 106gti on Bilstein's... it was better than average though... usual shite in the wet etc etc
VERY quick though, they dont weigh an awful lot either
I disagree the handling in the dry is amazing...really sticks to the floor on standard suspension even...they turn in and just grip with hardly any understeer...and if you get too much oversteer a little blip of the throttle and some opposite lock sorts that out...
In the wet is another story
Once you get to know there limits though you can through them about nicely...but when they go they go....
are you talking about a rev2 or 3+ ?
I was referring to a Rev3 as thats what I had...

i want toys and air con because, its nice to have them itll be used for sunny days' weekend, goin to car shows
and the odd track session meebe 4-5 a year
plus if it has all the extras it can be sold for not much loss should i need to,
it will be used on road more than on track, ive never had a out and out sports car, unless you consider the s12 i had so its nice for it to be comfy and fast and looks good
