Good on you for keeping it standard - is it in good enough condition that you can enter it for Concours level of competition?

Thanks buddy
I did spot another Carabic blue which had had full paint but was not standard.

Its not good enough for concours just yet but its getting there slowly.

This is the other halfs car, and is a daily driver until september then it can come off the road and i can do the engine bay properly, underneath and a couple of other bits

Jake - i only have hard copy press photos - i dont have a scanner either. Ill show you them one day

I remember seeing it at PVS. Was going to say something to Rob B about it

Did you get the original spec tyres and stuff?

not feeling it. Not into the extremeness of putting it back to stock, when a few subtle mods would make it look better and it would still look factory. Garish orange indicators and dated alloys don't do it for me, maybe if it was a classic, but it aint and doubt it ever will be unless you have a vauxhall fetish.

Oh I agree but im appealing to people's purist nature.
A "standard" Corsa Gsi will still fetch admiring glances from the areas its desired.
The Corsa Gsi is a very "good looking" car from the off and many have been destoryed over the years. More so now a days as the vehicles in question are within reach of less desirable "modifers" A decent clean standard example is so hard to come by and you never see them on the road.

Why would I want to be a sheep and follow the lines of enhancement using mods which have been used time and time again, the thought of subtle mods is to try and crate something different which is hard nowadays.

And yes im a Vauxhall nut - and I love it

I want to do a Nova Gsi and an Astra GTE to former glory.

Arguably these "performance" Vauxhalls are responsible for market trends and maybe the performance cars of today so the odd clean totally standard example will stike a chord in the right places for most im sure

It does look good dude, but I've never really been one to think the GSi is particularly special, its a nice car, but its not exactly rare, and i dont think its rare enough for people to think "wow, thats clean" like they do with a ST200 or whatever

BUT, it is clean, and it is a nice car, and fair play for sticking at it

mate of mine has a standard gsi in same color, and in all honesty i reckon they look really good standard in carabic blue...I would go down the route with the headlite protectors too and mudflaps as well, as i feel it looks more looked after and genuine specced, like it was purchased with parts to protect it from new
